Aster MIMS Calicut, in collaboration with Arogyam, Aster Volunteers and Beacons Brigade, marked World Heart Day 2026 at Kozhikode Beach with a day dedicated to heart health awareness, community engagement and meaningful milestones.
Celebrated under the theme “Don’t Miss a Beat,” the programme brought together healthcare professionals, community members and the public to highlight the importance of cardiovascular health, preventive care and timely medical attention.
A key highlight of the celebrations was the Heart-to-Heart Walkathon, which brought together participants in support of heart health awareness. The event also featured interactive sessions with doctors, providing the public with an opportunity to learn more about heart health and the importance of adopting healthier lifestyle practices.
The unveiling of a spectacular heart-shaped sand sculpture at Kozhikode Beach added another memorable element to the celebrations. The unique creation received recognition from the India Book of Records, marking a significant milestone for Aster MIMS Calicut's World Heart Day initiative.
Another important highlight was the launch of Aster Saathi, a new community-focused initiative aimed at strengthening the connection between healthcare services and the community while making healthcare support more accessible.
Through initiatives such as these, Aster MIMS Calicut continues to focus on taking healthcare awareness beyond the hospital and engaging with the wider community. The World Heart Day celebration served as a reminder that maintaining heart health is a shared responsibility and that awareness, prevention and timely care can play an important role in building a healthier community.
The celebration brought together people from different walks of life, with every activity reflecting the shared commitment to better heart health and a stronger community.
