Aster MIMS Kozhikode organized a special Mother’s Day celebration titled “Snehapoorvam Ammaykk” to honor the extraordinary mothers of specially abled children and children living with neurological disorders. The event, conducted by the Pediatric Neurology Department on May 10, celebrated the strength, resilience, and unconditional love of these inspiring “supermoms.”
The program was led by Pediatric Neurology specialists Dr. Smilu Mohna Lal, Dr. Krishna Priya Sudersanan, and Dr. Mubeen P. M.. The event focused on supporting and appreciating mothers caring for children affected by epilepsy, seizure disorders, Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD), Cerebral Palsy (CP), Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA), and other pediatric neurological conditions.
Renowned television presenter and author Aswathy Sreekanth and motivational speaker Anita Menon attended the celebration as chief guests and shared heartfelt messages of encouragement and empowerment with the families.
“Snehapoorvam Ammaykk” created a warm and emotional space where mothers could connect, share experiences, and celebrate their journeys together. The event featured motivational interactions, awareness sessions, and moments dedicated to recognizing the tireless efforts of caregivers who stand strong beside their children every day.
