Aster Volunteers, the global CSR arm of Aster DM Healthcare, in partnership with Ganpat University, today launched a new Mobile Medical Service unit aimed at serving the underserved rural populations in the Mehsana district of Gujarat. Equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, this unit is designed to deliver essential medical and healthcare services directly to marginalized communities and populations with limited access to healthcare.
The Mobile Medical Unit was inaugurated by Shri Bhupendra Patel, Honourable Chief Minister of Gujarat. The unit features comprehensive amenities, including a patient waiting area and registration desk, vital data collection point, a basic mini lab with refrigerated storage, secure medicine storage and dispensing facilities, a consultation room for general practitioners, health education and awareness programs, and an expandable awning for outdoor shade.
During the launch, Honourable Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel stated, “I congratulate Ganpat University and Aster DM Healthcare Ltd. for this thoughtful initiative. The Mobile Medical Unit will take modern medical services to rural communities, furthering Gujarat’s vision of accessible, affordable, and compassionate healthcare for all.”

Aster Volunteers Mobile Medical Services (AVMMS) is a pioneering CSR initiative dedicated to bridging healthcare accessibility gaps through free medical camps and disaster relief support in remote communities. Since its inception, AVMMS has served over 2.5 million individuals across India, the Middle East, and Africa, positively impacting lives in regions with limited or no access to medical facilities. Currently, the initiative operates a global network of 66 mobile units, including deployments in Karnataka, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Bihar, Haryana, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, West Bengal, J&K, and beyond.
