Dr. Poornima Narayanan Nambiar is an accomplished Neurologist with specialized expertise in Epilepsy and EEG. With an MBBS and MD in General Medicine from Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore, and a DM in Neurology from the prestigious SCTIMST, Trivandrum, she brings over a decade of comprehensive clinical and academic experience. She subsequently pursued a Clinical Fellowship in Epilepsy and EEG at Western University, Canada, further enhancing her proficiency in managing complex seizure disorders.
Her professional journey includes roles as Consultant Neurologist at leading hospitals in Kozhikode. Dr. Poornima is highly skilled in managing acute neurological emergencies, epilepsy, stroke, cognitive, neuromuscular, neuroimmunological and movement disorders, enabling her to deliver comprehensive neurological care.
Dr. Poornima is also a passionate academician and mentor. She has published numerous papers reputed neurology journals and has received multiple awards, including the CNS Epilepsy Fellow Award 2025 at Western University and the American Epilepsy Society Fellows Award 2024.
