Overview

Dr. Shibumon earned his medical degree from Medical College Kottayam in 1995 before pursuing further specialization. He completed his MS General Surgery at PGIMER Chandigarh in 2000, followed by three years of Senior Residency in the Department of General Surgery and Surgical Gastroenterology at PGIMER Chandigarh, culminating in the achievement of DNB [General Surgery] in 2005.

Continuing his pursuit of excellence, Dr. Shibumon obtained an MCh [Surgical Gastroenterology] from Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences Lucknow under King George Medical University Lucknow. He then served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgical Gastroenterology at RMLIMS Lucknow and LLRM Medical College Meerut. Dr. Shibumon also contributed as a consultant in GI and Minimal Access Surgery at MIOT International Hospital Chennai and KIMS Hospital Kochi.

With a passion for education, Dr. Shibumon dedicated a decade to teaching as Assistant and Associate Professor in the Department of Surgery at Kasturba Medical College Mangalore under Manipal University. He is recognized for his expertise and is a Member and Fellow of esteemed organizations such as the Royal College of Surgeons of England, the American College of Surgeons, and the Association of Minimal Access Surgeons of India [AMASI]. Additionally, he is a life member of various prestigious associations, including the Indian Medical Association [IMA], the Association of Surgeons of India [ASI], the Hernia Society of India [HSI], the Indian Association of Surgical Gastroenterologists [IASG], and the International Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association [IHPBA] Indian Chapter.
