There are many defects detected at birth, that require surgery either immediately after birth or within a few hours to days after. Some examples of the commonly found defects include -

1. Esophageal Atresia

4. Midgut Volvulus / Malrotation
5. Pyloric/Intestinal Atresias
6. Omphalocoele, Gastroschisis
