No, it does not. Your daily cup of coffee has about 65 to 135mg of caffeine. Whereas a 39g bar of chocolate just has 6 mg of caffeine, which is the amount you need to refresh your mind!

No, it does not. The saturated fat present in chocolate (Stearic Acid) actually increases HDL cholesterol or good cholesterol.

Aren’t chocolates low on nutritional content?

Not true. Chocolate contains polyphenols (the antioxidant found in tea and red wine) that decrease the risk of coronary diseases. Also it has valuable nutrients like magnesium, iron, zinc and calcium.

Do eating chocolates cause weight gain?

Not true. An average bar of chocolate has only about 220 calories, which is sufficient to fulfill your energy requirement. It also helps curb cravings induced due to deprivation of favourite foods.

Chocolate also benefits people suffering from Hypertension as it triggers release of Seratonin or the happy hormone, which helps reduce blood pressure. Besides, the Flavanols present in cocoa boost levels of nitric oxide in the body, which in turn soothes blood vessels and lowers blood pressure.
