Dr. Leuvenya Gunasekaran
Associate Consultant - Developmental Paediatrics
Dr. Leuvenya Gunasekaran is a Neurodevelopmental Paediatrician with eight years of focused experience in the assessment, diagnosis and early intervention of children with neurodevelopmental and behavioural disorders. She completed her training in Paediatric Neurodisability at Sheffield Children's Hospital, United Kingdom, and has worked with leading NHS neuro-developmental services, including Cambridge Community Services, NHS England, and NHS Tayside, Scotland.
Her clinical experience includes multidisciplinary neurodevelopmental assessments, special school visits for differently abled children, seizure clinics and ADHD clinics for medication titration. She has worked closely with therapists, psychologists, schools and community paediatric teams to support collaborative care pathways for children and adolescents.
Her practice focuses on early identification, parental counselling and timely intervention to improve developmental outcomes. She strongly believes in family-centred developmental care that helps differently abled children and adolescents achieve improved functional independence and meaningful participation within the community.
