Dr. P Rajan completed his MBBS and was the best outgoing student in 1972 at Calicut Medical College, further he completed his MS in General Surgery in 1976 and received a Gold Medal in surgery from the Calicut Medical College.
He had been a faculty in Calicut Medical college from 1976. He also worked as a specialist in the UAE Ministry of Health from 1981 to 1985. He has done 1 year of training in Aberdeen Scotland 1985 -86 and completed FRCS from RCPS Glasgow in 1986 February.
Dr. P Rajan rejoined Medical College service and retired as Professor and HOD - Surgery in 2005. He was appointed as emeritus professor of surgery in 2005. He had been an undergraduate and postgraduate examiner in various universities and examiner to NBE.
He has a total of 48 years of surgical experience. He had been a guide to innumerable post-graduate students for thesis work. He has many original articles published in National and international journals.
