A public awareness campaign by Aster DM Healthcare, Aster SafeRoads aims to educate people on the importance of road safety in India and the Middle East.
Led by Sachin Tendulkar, the legendary Indian Cricketer, Aster SafeRoads will seek the involvement of the public, especially children, to spread awareness on safe driving, obeying traffic rules, road signs and road etiquette.
As a prelude to the official launch of the campaign in New Delhi on 7 February 2016, Aster Medcity Kochi, the flagship venture of the group, has come up with many interactive programmes to drive the message home. This includes a Canter (a branded vehicle) that will stop at all major Schools, Colleges and high-footfall areas in Kerala (like the LuLu Mall, Kochi), in order to promote the concept of safe roads and encourage people to take a pledge - that they will drive carefully for their own good and those around them.
The Aster SafeRoad Canter, which was flagged of from Aster Medcity on 27 January 2016 and completed its pan-Kerala awareness drive on 7 February 2016.
