Emergency nursing skills is an integral part of Emergency department of any hospital, where a small procedure can save a valuable life of a patient. With this concept, the Emergency Department of Aster Medcity organized a workshop on Emergency skills ‘Crash 2015’, for the nurses and paramedics of the hospital.
The workshop focused on going beyond the basics of emergency treatment and developing high quality advanced emergency care at the hospital. The one-day session focused on different areas related to emergency like basic resuscitation skill, spine immobilization techniques, airway skills and preparation for ambulance call. During the session, the nurses and paramedics were also trained on the basics of paediatric life support and required efforts, Haemorrhage control trauma along with splinting and infection control in emergency room.
A panel of experts from Aster Medcity – Binto K Baby, Manu K Devassy, Stalin AX, Deepak D, Ranjith R, Rakhil Kumar, conducted the session amidst the presence of large number of nurses.
